The brief was to replace an existing dilapidated conservatory structure for use as a staff room. The existing building provided the opportunity to insert a mezzanine level floor whilst increasing the footprint within very restrictive site constraints. The floor area was increased three fold and a light double-storey space created. Installation of a folded steel staircase further optimized the limited space.
